Chastain, V, 72, of Fessenden Rd., passed away peacefully Monday (Apr. 20, 20202) in his home, surrounded by family. Born October 14, 1947, in Coudersport, he was a son of Peter A. and Evelyn E. Nelson Chastain. On June 14, 1986, in Bradford, he married Cindy A. Patterson, who died Mar. 2, 2015. Peter was a lifetime resident of the area, and a graduate of Port Allegany High School, class of 1965. He was a pharmacist for several area hospitals before his retirement. He was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Port Allegany, American Legion Post 108, and VFW Post 212, both of Bradford. Surviving are three sons, -Scott A. Chastain of Pittsburgh, PA, -Jake F. Chastain of Edinboro, PA, and -Eric K. Chastain; two brothers, -Dale A. (Debbie) Chastain and -Patrick H. (Michelle) Chastain both of Port Allegany; five sisters, - Carol L. Rose of Port Allegany, -Greta M. (Thomas) Tanner of Knox, PA, -Pamela R. Keys of Dubois, PA, -Linda D. (Mark) Gustafson of Port Allegany, and -Mary E. (Kelly) Unser of Evansville, IN; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Cindy, and -a daughter, Suzy Chastain, who died 1977. At Peter’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Lampmann, 65, of Route 6 W, Coudersport, PA, passed away Tuesday (Dec. 25, 2018) in Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. Born August 9, 1953, in Wellsboro, PA, she was a daughter of Bille E. and Mary Drake Simkins. - On July 8, 1971, in Galeton, PA, she married Frederick A. Froehlich, who died Oct. 24, 1998. - She married Shawn Lampmann on July 21, 2007, and died February 2008. Penny graduated from Galeton High School, class of 1971, and attended courses at Montgomery County Community College, where she majored in Psychology. She worked as a machine operator/trainer for Ford Motor Company, for more than 20 years, in Lansdale, PA. Throughout her life she was involved in various activities including kayaking, racquetball, bingo, fishing and playing slot machines. Surviving are - a son, Frederick A. (Julie) Froehlich, II, of Lansdale, PA, two daughters, - Michelle M. (Patrick) Chastain of Port Allegany, - Nicole L. (Lance) Wilson of DeRiddler, LA; 14 grandchildren; and 6 great-grand-children; three brothers, - Michael (Janine) Simkins of Madison, WI, - Thomas (Kay) Simkins of Wellsville, NY, - Ivan (Arlene) Simkins of Tishomingo, MS; two sisters, - Susan (Glenn) Detwiler of Harleysville, PA, and - Patty (William) Sewell of Galeton, PA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and both husbands, Frederick and Shawn. Friends are invited to attend a celebration of life service Friday (Dec. 28, 2018) at 10 a.m. in the Hotel Crittenden, Coudersport. Memorials can be made to her family in memory of Penny Lampmann. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the Crittenden Hotel and Switzer Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
