Penny L. Lampmann

Penny L. Lampmann, 65, of Route 6 W, Coudersport, PA, passed away Tuesday (Dec. 25, 2018) in Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA.

Born August 9, 1953, in Wellsboro, PA, she was a daughter of Bille E. and Mary Drake Simkins.
- On July 8, 1971, in Galeton, PA, she married Frederick A. Froehlich, who died Oct. 24, 1998.
- She married Shawn Lampmann on July 21, 2007, and died February 2008.

Penny graduated from Galeton High School, class of 1971, and attended courses at Montgomery County Community College, where she majored in Psychology. She worked as a machine operator/trainer for Ford Motor Company, for more than 20 years, in Lansdale, PA.

Throughout her life she was involved in various activities including kayaking, racquetball, bingo, fishing and playing slot machines.

Surviving are
- a son, Frederick A. (Julie) Froehlich, II, of Lansdale, PA,
two daughters,
- Michelle M. (Patrick) Chastain of Port Allegany,
- Nicole L. (Lance) Wilson of DeRiddler, LA;
14 grandchildren; and 6 great-grand-children;
three brothers,
- Michael (Janine) Simkins of Madison, WI,
- Thomas (Kay) Simkins of Wellsville, NY,
- Ivan (Arlene) Simkins of Tishomingo, MS;
two sisters,
- Susan (Glenn) Detwiler of Harleysville, PA, and
- Patty (William) Sewell of Galeton, PA;
and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and both husbands, Frederick and Shawn.

Friends are invited to attend a celebration of life service Friday (Dec. 28, 2018) at 10 a.m. in the Hotel Crittenden, Coudersport.

Memorials can be made to her family in memory of Penny Lampmann.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the Crittenden Hotel and Switzer Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.

A very great lady! Loving, kind, had a heart of gold! She always thought of others first and helped anybody that needed her. Heaven gained the best angel and I was lucky to have known her for many years.
