On October 24, 1953, in Galeton, he married the former Maxine Goodwin, who survives. Walt worked on his father's farm in Sweden Hill, was a truck driver for many years and retired from Johnson Truck Line in Tioga, PA in 1992. He was a member of Galeton Moose. Walt loved playing cards, fishing, hunting and camping. Surviving besides his wife of 57 years, Maxine Neefe, are - a son, Walter Bruce Neefe, Bilerica, MA; two daughters, Lucinda (Phil) Petty, Waverly, NY, and Kim-berly (Kenneth) Schaar, Germania, PA; eight grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; a sister, Christine (Harold) Baumann, Coudersport, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
