Whaley. In 1898 Edgar bought a farm outside Roulette on Fishing Creek. He lived there until his death in 1932. He wife was Viola Margaret Weimer. They had 3 children, 2 surviving into adulthood; - Mina O Whaley Marschner and - Paul Whaley. I believe Paul, who never married, lived on the farm until his death in 1963. WHALEY, DEAD Edgar Demetris Whaley, a resident of Roulette Township for the past thirty-five years passed out of this life Tuesday night at his farm home on Fishing Creek. Mr. Whaley was born in Erie County, NY, September 22nd, 1855. He was united in marriage to Viola Margaret Weimer February 12, 1882, and to this union was born three children, - Mina O., now Mrs. A.J. Marschner, -Paul E., both of Roulette, and -Perry Lavern, deceased. Besides these, he leaves one brother - William Whaley of Corydon, Pa, and a granddaughter, - Margaret Marschner of Roulette, together with many nieces and nephews and other friends and relatives. Mr. Whaley owned and operaated a number of saw mills in McKean and Potter counties. He was also at one time interested in several small natural gas developments in both counties. His genial disposition, loyal friendship, generosity and kindly humor won for him many friends. Funeral services were held at Roulette Friday under the auspices of the I.O.O.F. to which order he belonged for more than firty(sic) years. Rev. White officiated. Interment was made in Roulette Hill Cemetry(sic).

Barr - Born January 1, 1860 Stricken on 92nd Birthday George B. Barr of Roulette is dead. He suffered a stroke last week, and did not regain consciousness, passing away Thursday, Jan. 3, 1952. Mr. Barr, one of the oldest residents of Potter County, was a native of Roulette. He was born Jan. 1, 1860. He was a son of John and Barbara Weimer Barr. He married Della Smith, Nov. 1887, in Olean, and his whole long life was spent in Roulette and vicinity. He was for years a lumberman when lumbering was the big industry in this section. Later he was engaged in farming until age forced his retirement. Even in his advanced age he maintained his own home. He was independent and active until within the past two months. Survivors are a son, Fred, and a daughter, Mrs. Melva Carley, both of Roulette. There are four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral service was held from the home Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with the Rev. Doyle E. Shields, pastor of the Riverside M. E. Church officiating. Interment was in John Lyman Cemetery at Roulette. Pallbearers were: Elvin Barr, Eugene Ostrom, Olen Dexter, Robert Fessenden, Henry Tauscher and Paul Whaley. Last rites were attended by a large number of relatives and friends. Among places represented were Buffalo, Franklinville, Corning, Rochester, Coudersport and Austin..

George B. Barr of Roulette is dead. He suffered a stroke last week, and did not regain consciousness, passing away Thursday, Jan. 3, 1952.
Mr. Barr, one of the oldest residents of Potter County, was a native of Roulette. He was born Jan. 1, 1860. He was a son of John and Barbara Weimer Barr. He married Della Smith, Nov. 1887, in Olean, and his whole long life was spent in Roulette and vicinity. He was for years a lumberman when lumbering was the big industry in this section. Later he was engaged in farming until age forced his retirement.
Even in his advanced age he maintained his own home. He was independent and active until within the past two months.
Survivors are a son, Fred, and a daughter, Mrs. Melva Carley, both of Roulette. There are four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral service was held from the home Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with the Rev. Doyle E. Shields, pastor of the Riverside M. E. Church officiating. Interment was in John Lyman Cemetery at Roulette.

Edgar Demetris Whaley, a resident of Roulette Township for the past thirty-five years passed out of this life Tuesday night at his farm home on Fishing Creek.
Mr. Whaley was born in Erie County, NY, September 22nd, 1855. He was united in marriage to Viola Margaret Weimer February 12, 1882, and to this union was born three children,
- Mina O., now Mrs. A.J. Marschner,
-Paul E., both of Roulette, and
-Perry Lavern, deceased. Besides these, he leaves one brother
- William Whaley of Corydon, Pa, and a granddaughter,
- Margaret Marschner of Roulette, together with many nieces and nephews and other friends and relatives.
Mr. Whaley owned and operaated a number of saw mills in McKean and Potter counties. He was also at one time interested in several small natural gas developments in both counties. His genial disposition, loyal friendship, generosity and kindly humor won for him many friends.
Funeral services were held at Roulette Friday under the auspices of the I.O.O.F. to which order he belonged for more than firty(sic) years. Rev. White officiated. Interment was made in Roulette Hill Cemetry(sic).
