LifeSketch	I have some problems with the records of Daniel & Family; facts the US Census show: 1855 NY Census, Andover, Allegany, NY Show spouse Abagail 38, Daniel 51, children; [Hanah J 18][Luther L 15][David B 12][Alanson L 11][Caroline 9][Louis A 7][Fanny S 4][Julia A 3][ Edward M 1][John J 0] That gives [10 Children] 1850 US Federal - Independence, Allegany, NY; Daniel is 57 & Abigail is 33, Children: [Lamantha 16][Hannah 14][Luther 12][Hiram 14][David 10][Nelson 7][Caroline 5][Louis 2][Fanny 0] so here we have 9 children. 1860 US Federal - Clara, Potter, Pa. Abigail 42, head and we know he died 1856, Children:{Hiram 26][Luther 20][Alanson 16][Fanny 10][Julia A 7][Moses 6][Edmond 4][Daniel 3] & in 1870 Abigail is living with a married Daughter in Roulette, Potter, Pa., so records show Abigail had 16 children in 23 years, Personal family records show Daniel first married Abigai\'s sister Amanda on 22 Nov 1830 & they had one child Amandon D. Baker, now this shows she was 16 when married and died at age 18, but some of the records show the dates correct, but say in 2 years she had up to 7 children, she probably died at child-birth or shortly after, and her sister become the Mother & bride. Neither Grave record of Daniel Or Abigail show another marriage or step-relationship. I havent been able to find why they list his death in Virginia & burial in Potter, Pa. there always possibility, but his Civil War show he was in for three months or so in 65, but the burial record shows him dead in 1856, but it does show burial at Roulette, it is also a request for a head stone.

Amanda was born to the parents of Captain Luther Strong and his wife Abigail M Woodruff Strong on 9 Sept 1814 in Isle LaMotte, Grand Isle, Vermont

She married Daniel C Baker on 22 November 1830 at the age of 16.
Together they had a son Amandon C Baker on 26 Jan 1832.
Amanda died in childbirth on 26 Jan 1832 in Andover, Allegany, New York. She passed at the age of 18.

A search for Amanda Bakers gravestone, but none was found. Many of the gravestones in the cemetery are worn down and unable to read. Records indicate that she was buried in Dyke-Cole-Dyke Cemetery.

EDMOND M. BAKER
Edmund Moolimer (Mortimer? -jcw) Baker, was born April 9, 1855 at Andover, NY and was a son of Abigail and Daniel Baker. He lived in Roulette and vicinity until 24 years of age, when he drifted westward, being in 31 different states and some parts of Canada. He returned four years ago to his home town, making his home with his great nephew, Donald Baker, of Card Creek, the past two years until the time of death, October 26.
Funeral services were held at Fishing Creek Church, Sunday, at 2:00 o'clock and conducted by the I.O.O.F. of Roulette, of which he was a member for 35 years. Burial was made in Fishing Creek Cemetery, with Rev. White officiating.
His brother, M.E. Baker of Fishing Creek, is the only surviving one of the family of 16 children.

Amanda was born to the parents of Captain Luther Strong and his wife Abigail M Woodruff Strong on 9 Sept 1814 in Isle LaMotte, Grand Isle, Vermont

She married Daniel C Baker on 22 November 1830 at the age of 16.
Together they had a son Amandon C Baker on 26 Jan 1832.
Amanda died in childbirth on 26 Jan 1832 in Andover, Allegany, New York. She passed at the age of 18.

A search for Amanda Bakers gravestone, but none was found. Many of the gravestones in the cemetery are worn down and unable to read. Records indicate that she was buried in Dyke-Cole-Dyke Cemetery.
