Luther Strong WRONG MOTHER LISTED!
As with most of these records where the original was destroyed this has incorrect information listed and then years later transferred on to index cards. ********************************************** “Taken from a copy of an old town record original destroyed.” The key to this incorrect index is “old town record original destroyed”! The original record with the correct mother’s name was destroyed.

At the time of gathering up lost information the correct mother Deborah Butler was dead and her husband Seth Strong was married to Ruth Dunton. This is why she is incorrectly list as the mother of Seth Strong’s Children.

- Alger (Allen) BUTLER Strong (middle name BUTLER after mother’s family)

Ruth Dunton was the mother of 9 children by her first husband and did not have children with Seth Strong.
