I'll start tagging this later, and I'll post some sections as well. Feel free to add tags. Jeannette Buck had helped me identify many of these, many years ago, Thank You!
Actually, none of the tags I've added are sticking, apparently at this stage, because they're not (nor will they ever be, alas!) FaceBook friends, so until I figure this out, the comments will have to suffice.
Please correct and add.

OK, I've tagged a number of the cut-outs, and they've held, but you may have to be in edit mode to see them. huh?

Dawn M Newton Somewhere in here we had this Isaac Henry as Isaac F. Also, Eve as Eva. Probably some of these errors come from trying to read old hand-written deed copies which really blew my mind! I found a deed from Henry D and Amy Elmina Dingman to Eve L. Dingman "their daughter" for 88 acres dated 10/13/1885. Could Henry D be Isaac Henry's father? And perhaps Isaac D was deceased and Henry and Amy were deeding to daughter-in-law Eve?

Dawn M Newton OK, John Christy Wetzel, how were the Brock's hooked up to the Meachams? I don't think I had ever seen a picture of Willis Brock. I think he must have been married to Amy and have been Ronald Brock's father.

John Christy Wetzel Willis Emmet Brock 1876-1944 married Florence Emily (Emma) Eggleston 1878-1963 in 1900 in Olean. Thelma Elizabeth Meacham, 1919- married Elton Elmer Swift 1921-2004 in 1942 in Port Allegany. Elton was the father of Sandra Lee Swift, who married my uncle, David Lee Wetzel, my dad's youngest brother. I haven't connected that Swift with Kaye Swift Baxter's line yet.

John Christy Wetzel Still checking on that specific Meacham/Brock connection you asked about.
1 3y · Like
Dawn M Newton Wow, John, this is so fascinating! Thelma Meacham, aforementioned, was a sister to Alta Clark (Roy), Mildred Dingman (Robert of Coneville store), and Leona Criss (Lawrence). I don't know who their parents were. Probably we're getting back into Wetmore Meachams. Also, was Robert Dingman one of the Dingmans we're discussing? Elton Swift probably was connected to Eva's husband, Alfred. I think they were all Shinglehouse/Coneville oriented. There was a Swift, Morris, I think, who committed suicide in his barn. They lived on Rt. 44 toward Coudersport from Elton & Thelma. I can still remember everyone talking about that and how shocked people were.

Here's some more information for Dave Wetmore that I find in some information Carol got from my mother: Ed Meacham was grandpa William Thompson's uncle, a brother of Eliza Meacham Thompson. He lived down Dingman Run in the area where the Niles Hill Road goes up over the bank on the left hand side. He lived down over the steep bank on the right. He was a bachelor and a civil war veteran. He used to give my grandmother, Dawn Thompson Matteson, 50 cents to knit him a pair of wool sox. She knit them from home-spun wool and thought that 50 cents was a fortune. They called him Uncle Ed. On the left side of Dingman Run, across the road from him, lived the Burtons who had a smart aleck son, Henry. He did everything he could to tease and pester Uncle Ed. One afternoon or early evening, Uncle Ed took his gun down and shot Henry as he ran up the hill towards home. In a panic, thinking Henry dead, Uncle Ed set his own home on fire, took his pistol and went over to his nephew's (Uncle Bert Thompson) barn where he shot himself. They found him dead there. Henry Burton lived to a ripe old age. Mom said she could barely remember this because she was so young, but thinks it happened around 1907 or so.

Dave Wetmore I may be a little late on this but Henry Dingman (1825-1897) was indeed Isaac F.'s father. His spouse was Amy E. Brock. Henry was a private with Company G, 53rd Pa. Volunteers during the civil war. Henry's father was possibly John Dingman (1787-1878), spouse of Hannah ? He came from Chenango county NY in 1816. He was a veteran of the war of 1812.

Dawn M Newton John Christy Wetzel, don't quote me on the first name of the Swift who committed suicide. I've been second guessing my self all afternoon. He had a son who went to school with us in Coneville, and I can't think of his name either. Mary Dunkleberger, do you remember anything about this. They might have lived on the farm where Arlene Saulter lives now.

Dawn M Newton Dave Wetmore and Dolly Sills, we have so much information flying around here that I wanted to be sure you saw the information above about Ed Meacham, Mary & Eliza's brother. Your father may remember where Harry and Freddy Bloom lived on Green Hill. Past George Clark's to the intersection and turn right. The first place you come to on the right. That is where Uncle Bert Thompson lived. David Acker and family lived there until a few years ago. If you go straight at that intersection up the hill, Will Thompson lived on top of the hill. There was quite a long lane to the right to get to his house. If you turn left at that intersection you go down past the Potter Game Club to the Fishing Creek Road.

John Christy Wetzel Thank you for that fascinating story, Dawn M Newton, on Ed Meacham's suicide & Henry Burton.
I have (most of) these relationships organized in a database and am storing pics and anecdotes for posterity, not just for and of my own family but for the history of the area as well. It keeps relationships straight, anyway.

Dawn M Newton Thank you, John, for all of your input. I'm a little surprised at how I have been drawn into all this history. I've always left the genealogy to others. Maybe that will become my hobby in my old age. I'm so computer illiterate that it's hard for me to know how to go about it. I have old family pictures that I have no idea how to get on here. My husband bought a really good scanner that sits tucked away in the closet. He was the computer expert, and I never needed to learn how to do things!
