Kaye Swift Baxter Mom said the Weimer reunions were held at the sugar bush which is behind where Mom and Dads house is now.
They had a spring up there and always made ice cream for the dinner.
She said it was always very cool under the big trees!
20180129-
Kaye Swift Baxter It was where they tapped the trees and it was very large. When I was a kid we used to get hundreds of gallons from the trees. Many trees are gone but still there are a small grove. We gathered the sap in milk cans on a stone boat with horses and hauled-to the sugar shanty to boil down. It was a large operation in February.

If I had to make a very wild guess, I think Emma Brock might be the short lady in the back row between Josephine Dingman on the end holding the child and Alice Dingman. I keep trying to find Alva & Lilly Thompson, but can't seem to identify them.

Bonita Bickford Emery My mother (Ilene Bickford Close) would have been a year old in 1931. I think that is her sitting on the lap of our grandmother (Rebecca Fern Weimer). Behind her might be Aunt Trudy Bickford Pagano and behind her Aunt Rita Bickford Blow. Rebecca Fern died in 1932 so not long after this photo.

Thank youSue. I had our grandma and Aunt Ilene figured out and I thought the little boy was Uncle Don or Uncle Kenny.
Do You know who might have a copy of the Bickford family tree?
Also I think our grandfather Glenn is in the very last row 2nd from the end on the right side.

Hard Luck Still Pursues Former Jap Captive, Now Here
Daughter's Leg Broken in Crash Tuesday On. East Secoh Street Accident Another of Garage Worker's Bad Breaks.
Nemesis still dogs the footsteps of T. J. Ebert, Coudersport garage worker.
Tortured for months by the Japanese after he was taken prisoner in the early stages of the war, Mr. Ebert was liberated by the American forces in the nick of time. He said that he had been broiled over a slow fire at regular intervals by his captors.
When the war ended he brought his family to Coudersport and ran straight into the housing shortage. He was forced to live for a time in what he described as a "pig sty."
Several weeks ago an infant born to Mr. and Mrs. Ebert died. The mother was seriously ill for days.
Tuesday Mr. Ebert and his 5-year-old daughter, Eleanor, were driving east on Second Street toward the family's new home at Sweden Valley. Without warning, a car driven by Bert Holcomb, R. D. 4, plunged across the road after making a U turn and smashed into the Ebert car. Eleanor's leg was broken in two places. Her father was uninjured.
He estimated the damage to his car would exceed $400.
