STEVENS, Amy Irene (Van Gilder > Armstrong) Stevens [Potter County Journal, Vol. 102, October 1952] - OBITUARY #1
"Mrs. Amy Stevens Succumbs to Heart Attack
Amy A. Stevens, a life-time resident of Coudersport, died on Wednesday, October 15, 1952, at the Potter County Memorial Hospital following a heart attack which she suffered late Tuesday evening.
Mrs. Stevens was born at Ulys¬ses, Pa., July 17, 1861, to Ira B. Van Gilder and Elizabeth Jane Kenney Van Gilder, and in 1865 was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Charles Armstrong.
Married to Edward C. Stevens on October 24, 1883, at Couders¬port, to them were born six chil¬dren, five of whom are living:
Mrs. Mary Hendryx of Coudersport, Mrs. Alice Huber of Corning, N, Y., Miss Florence Stevens of Rochester, Mrs. Esther Kendall of Boston, Mass., and Walter Stevens of Maywood, N. J. Another daughter, Mrs. Ruth Musgrave, preceded her in death in 1927.
Also surviving are 13 grand¬children, 17 great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Mary Dough¬erty, of Port Allegany.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock in the Park Methodist Church. Rev. Gordon Loomis of Hornell, her former pastor, will conduct the serv¬ices. Burial will be made in Eula¬lia Cemetery.
Death came silently and peace¬fully to Mrs. Stevens. Tuesday evening she attended an SHG ban¬quet and became ill early Wednes¬day morning. She never regained consciousness.
For 80 years Mrs. Stevens was a member of Park Methodist Church and was closely associated with two of the organizations of the church, the Mary and Martha Class and the Women's Society of Christian Service. She was also an active member of the SHG since 1921.
One of the highlights of her life was her 90th birthday celebration in 1951, when her family from far and near gathered to do her honor.
Never ill, it could be said of her that she enjoyed life to time last."
STEVENS, Amy Irene (Van Gilder > Armstrong) Stevens [Potter Enterprise] - OBITUARY #2
"Mrs. Amy A. Stevens died Wednesday night, October 15, 1952, the result of a heart attack. A brief mention of her passing was noted in the Enterprise last week.
Mrs. Stevens was born at Ulysses, July 17, 1861, but a larger part of her long life was spent in Coudersport. She was well known and active for many years in the Methodist Church, the Mary Martha Class, the S. H. G., W. S. C. S., Eastern Star and other organizations. She was a cheerful soul and most highly respected by all. She was a daughter of Ira and Elizabeth Jane Kenney Van Gilder.
She became the wife of E. C. Stevens at Coudersport October 24, 1883, and had since resided here. Mrs. Stevens died several years ago.
Five children survive. They are: Mrs. Alice Huber, Corning, N. Y.; Miss Florence Stevens, Rochester, N. Y.; Mrs. Esther Kendall, Boston, Mass.; Walter Stevens, Maywood N. J.; and Mrs. Mary Hendryx of Coudersport. A sister, Mrs. Mary Dougherty of Port Allegany also survives.
Funeral service was held from the Park Methodist Church, Saturday afternoon with the Rev. Gordon Loomis of Hornell, a former pastor here, officiating. Interment was in Eulalia Cemetery."

This is great. Her name is a variation of my great grandmothers family names often spelled this way. Emeline Mantania Clark.

Brenda Kenealy Williams I wonder if Isabel's husband, John S. Montanye, is related back down the line to Emeline's father Albert. Isabel's maiden name was Bink. She lived to 95 and never had any children.

John Wetzel, I noticed a Clarence Kiehle in a number of these photos. Do you have any information on him? My grandmother was Kathryn Kiehle, and my mom would talk about her uncle Clare. Could they be one in the same?

Sounds like it. Clare (Clarence Abram Kiehle) was Sarah Johnson's 2nd husband. Do you know Larry Johnson? (apparently not in this group) He posted this in December 2018:
"Clarence Keihl (1882-1962) was my uncle Clair,
2nd husband of my Dad's sister Sarah Johnson Klice Kiehl (1896-1972, born at Watrous, PA, (Tioga County).
She and her first husband ran Klice's Corner Novelty Store on Buffalo St. in Olean for many years.
Her family came from Sweden in about 1894. Name changed from Johanson to Johnson. (go figger). Following the Swedish genealogy is always complicated because they changed their surnames every generation.
Here is a pic of him from about 1960. I don't know where this pic is from, but it's a keeper!)" He was born October 1882 or 1885 in Klacking, Ogemaw, Michigan. This is the photo Larry shared.
