Mrs. Florence Coleman Buck, of 24 Cass St., died because of complications from burns received in a fire at her home, said Dr. Richard E. Travis, a Steuben County coroner. He said the woman died of pneumonia and that he would issue a certificate of accidental death. Mrs. Buck's mother, Mrs. John Coleman, told Travis no physician was called after the fire. She told him Mrs. Buck was burned while lying on her bed in an upstairs bedroom. Travis said one of four Buck children, a four-year-old, took a lighter from his mother's purse and accidentally set fire to the bedding. One side of the mattress and part of the wall was burned, Mrs. Buck was burned fighting the fire. No fire department was called. Mrs. Coleman said members of the family put out the fire. Early yesterday morning Mrs. Buck was found unconscious and taken to the hospital. Her husband, Clarence, is a laborer and presently is working in Rochester. The body was removed to the Robertson Funeral Home. Arrangements art incomplete..
