• MISS DUNN INJURED
Miss Mary Dunn was knocked down by an automobile and severely injured in Buffalo early last Friday evening. Miss Dunn had started for church and had been gone from her home but a few moments when starting to cross Amherst street, a car came around the corner on the wrong side of the street, and struck her, knocking her down, and passing over her legs. Besides severe bruises and cuts she has a dislocated hip and a possible ankle fracture. The driver of the car, in a moment of panic, left the car and ran, leaving Miss Dunn to her fate. A couple of passers by found her, and took her to home, where she is being made as comfortable as possible.
Her sister, Miss Lucy Dunn, was in Buffalo at the time of the accident, and her sister, Mrs. P. S. Patterson, and nephew, Arthur Cantwell, motored to Buffalo to spend the day Sunday.
ORGANIZES H.S. BAND
For the first time in several years Shinglehouse has a fully organized High School Band. Several attempts to form a band have been made at various times in the past, but have never materialized. The present band was organized in November, under the direction of Miss Florence Holcomb, the music teacher in the Shinglehouse Public Schools. Much credit is given Miss Holcomb for her accomplishment because of the fact that both rehearsals and private lessons are given outside the regular school hours.
Miss Holcomb is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. V. M. Holcomb of Coudersport, and a graduate of Mansfield State Teachers' College.
UNITED IN MARRIAGE
Miss Norma Louise Moore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon L. Moore of Coudersport, was united in marriage to George Henry Brehmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. They were attended by James Young, Mrs. Lucille Mayers of Coudersport and Norman Searle of Bradford. They will reside for the present with the groom's parents on South Main street. Best wishes are extended the happy young couple for a prosperous and happy wedded life.
