MRS. MARTHA CLARK. Died at Shinglehouse, Jan. 10, 1915, Buried at North Bingham, Jan. 12, 1915. Mrs. Martha Clark died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. MORGAN, on Pleasant street in Shinglehouse, at 1:30 o'clock, Sunday afternoon, Jan. 10, 1915, of the infirmities of old ago (sic). She had suffered a couple of strokes of paralysis and had been in poor health for the past three years. She was born at Lake George, N. Y., on January 29, 1838, and came to Potter county with her parents when a girl of four years, and had resided in Bingham and Harrison townships ever since, excepting several years that she lived in Whitesville. Last September she was taken to Shinglehouse so that her children could better look after her. She was married July 1, 1855 to Addison Clark, who passed away 29 years ago. To this union, seven children were born, six of whom survive. She was a kind-hearted Christian woman, a dutiful wife and kind and loving mother. She had been a member of the M. E. church for over 60 years, and until sickness kept her at home, was always a great worker and help in the church. She leaves to mourn their loss, two daughters, Mrs. I. L. Coates of Ceres, and Mrs. J. H. Beebe of Cuba (NY), four sons, C. A. and E. S. Clark of Shinglehouse, William Clark of Shongo, H. D. Clark of Genesee; 28 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. The funeral was held from the church at North Bingham Tuesday, Rev. H. Rodwell of Genesee, officiating. Interment was in the cemetery at that place.
They are buried at North Bingham Cemetery, Potter, PA.

DIED
CLARK. At the residence of her daughter, Mrs. C. Warner, in Center Grove township, January 27th, 1894, Mrs. Louisa Clark, aged 90 years, 5 months and 20 days.
Louisa Miller was born in New Haven, Connecticut, August 6, 1803.
In 1820 she was married to Joseph Clark. They moved to New York state in 1828.
Twelve years after they removed to Potter county, Pennsylvania, where they resided until 1864, at which time they came to Spirit Lake, which has since been their home. At the time of her death she was living with her daughter, Mrs. C. Warner, where she has had a pleasant home for a year past. The day before her death deceased was is good health and spirits, and had most of the day and evening busied herself at knitting. She retired at 9 o'clock, feeling well. At 3 o'clock in the morning she made a slight noise which at once brought loved ones to her side. She only spoke a word, saying that she felt badly, and passed quietly away without a struggle.
Deceased was the mother of twelve children, four sons and eight daughters, of whom there are still living two sons and five daughters, Mrs. C. Warner and Helen Ellis being the only children residing in Dickinson county. There were five generations represented at her funeral, in all sixty relatives, all residents of this county.
At 18 years of age she was converted, and has since lived a devout Christian life, and is now gone to her reward.
Deceased was "Grandma" to all who knew her, and the writer hereof can testify to her many excellent qualities as such, from an acquaintance of nearly thirty years. She was kind, noble and generous, always anxious for the comfort and happiness of those about her.
The funeral services were held at the Warner Chapel, conducted by Rev. Bascom, the pastor in charge. On Sunday afternoon her remains were laid to rest in Lakeview Cemetery by the side of her husband, who had passed on before her fourteen years ago.
"I heard a voice from Heaven say unto me, 'Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth,' Yea, saith the spirit, that they may rest from their labors and their works do follow them." - Rev. 14-13.
CARD OF THANKS.
We thank the kind friends and neighbors for the assistance they gave us in helping to pay the last rites to our beloved mother.
Mr. and Mrs. C. Warner and Family.
[Obituary is published in the Spirit Lake Beacon, February 2, 1894.]
