Eleanora Sophia Miller DeGroff (1912-1978) was born the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. (Bessie) Miller.
She had at least one sister Stella Miller.
She married Clarence L. De Groff (1902-1983).

Miss Leonora S. Miller, daughter of Mrs. Bessie Miller, Detroit, Mich., and Clarence L. DeGroff, son of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron DeGroff of Olean, were united in marriage at the parsonage of Sacred Heart Church, Portville, Wednesday morning, the Rev. J, Vincent Growney, pastor, performing the ceremony.
The attendants were Miss Stella Miller, Detroit, sister of the bride and Edward Randall, Olean.
The bride wore a gown of white satin fashioned along princess lines with satin cap and shoulder length veil. She carried a bouquet of pale yellow tea roses and babies breath. Her attendants gown was of pale blue taffeta with pink accessories and her bouquet was of pink roses and babies breath.
Following the ceremony, breakfast was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. john Krusyniski, Olean covers being marked for fifty quests.
Mr. and Mrs. DeGroff left during the day on a ten days motor trip to Montreal and New York City.
The out of town guests included Mrs. Bessie Miller and Miss Stella Miller of Detroit Mich.
Clarence as everyone knows him here is employed as head mechanic at the Kayes Motor Sales and has a host of friends who join the Review in wishing the happy couple a life of happiness.

MRS. CLARENCE DeGROFF
Mrs. E. Sophie DeGroff of Promised Land Road died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 1978) at the Buffalo General Hospital, following a long illness.
Born in Rochester, she was a daughter of Joseph and Bessie Gorska Miller. On Sept. 26,1934 in Portville, she married Clarence DeGroff. who survives.
She had been employed by the American Olean Tile Company for 32 years. Mrs. DeGroff was a member of the St. Mary of the Angels Church of Olean; and the Women of the Moose of Olean.
Surviving besides her husband, are two sons, Ronald DeGroff of Rochester, and Norman DeGroff of Olean; a daughter. Mrs. Donald (Bernice) MacWilliams of Canandaigua; six grandchildren; two sisters. Mrs. Arthur (Helen; Kramer of Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. August (Stella) Schulte of Troy. Mich.
Friends may call at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., Portville. Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where funeral services will be held with a prayer service Friday (Aug. 18. 1978) at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church. Portville. Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
Portville. The Rosary will be recited Thursday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
Interment 18 August 1978.
