| Lewis Lyman's House, Sartwell Creek. caption: May, Almeron, Aunt Lizy, Aunt Sally, Mrs Robbins, Mr Mix, Uncle Lewis & horse, & Topsy. Sarah & Nina (blurr) up front. Lewis Lyman and family with his 3rd wife, Sally Kimm Lyman, and their two children Almeron (1874) and May [(1877) left in the photo]. Sarah and Nina, up front (1874 & 1885, resp) are Lewis\' nieces, daughters of his younger brother Otis and his wife, Rosella Sherwood Lyman (my 1st cousin 5x, making Sarah & Nina my 2nd cousins 4x). [Sarah would later marry Ali Weimer, my 1st cousin 4x. Nina would marry Thos Tauscher, then Lester Henry Barr, my 1st cousin 3x.] So photo taken about 1888? Lewis\' first two wives, Eva Weimer (my half 4th great aunt) and Polly VanCicles were deceased. Mrs Robbins and Mr. Mix are probably hired help. I haven\'t figured out Aunt Lizy and Topsy yet. |
