H. VanEpps Mrs. Lena VanEpps, 90, of Austin, succumbed Sunday (Sept. 28, 1975) in the Port Allegany Community Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in the Borie section of Potter County on March 25, 1885, the daughter of Orland and Mary Watson Jackson. On May 23, 1906. she married Andrew H. VanEpps, who died March 9, 1974. Mrs. VanEpps was a resident of Austin for 57 years. She attended the Austin United Methodist Church and was a member of the Royal Neighbors. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Helma) Ellis and Mrs. Elmer (Irma) Johnson, both of Emporium; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one brother, M.V. Jackson, Coudersport RD3. Friends were received Monday at the Grabe-Fickinger Funeral Home where a funeral service was held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Leroy Sholes, pastor of the Austin United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Forest Hills Cemetery, Austin. The family requests that memorials be given to the Austin Ambulance Association or Austin United Methodist Church.
