During the feud-era, Bad Frank, a man who claimed to have once road with outlaw Jesse James and the James Gang, was a Kentucky deputy marshall and the sworn enemy of the feudin' Hatfields. Goldie's siblings included Elsie Phillips Ford (1889-1952); Jesse James Phillips (1892-1985); Roy Phillips (1896-1970); and Flora Phillips Pickup (1894-1993). Goldie's half-siblings - being the children of Johnse Hatfield and Nancy McCoy Hatfield - included William Anderson "Ansie" Hatfield (1884-1917); and Stella Hatfield (1886-1900). And another half sibling was Frank Phillips Jr., the son of Bad Frank and Mary Frances Rowe Phillips Justice (1863-1953). Goldie's husband was Fred Rayburn (1895-1983).
