Miss Carolyn Scott Becomes Bride of Lawrence Moran in Methodist Church
Miss Carolyn Scott and Lawrence R. Moran were united in marriage Saturday afternoon at Parle Methodist Church in Coudersport with the Rev. Bruce Stearns officiating.
Miss Scott Is the daughter of Mr and Mrs. Kenneth N. Scott of Coudersport, and Mr. Moran the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. Moran, of Smethport.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor-length gown of ivory silk satin. Empire styled, the gown was accented with roses of silk satin, a sash of silk chiffon, and a chapel train. She carried a cascade of ivory colored roses.
Mrs. Thomas Fickinger, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. She wore an azalea cplored satin cocktail length dress fashioned with a wide collar falling over the shoulders. A single satin rose adorned the bodice. She carried a cascade bouquet of white and pink x daisy mums. A college friend of the bride and sister of the bridegroom, Miss Lois Moran of Smethport, served as bridesmaid, wearing a gown similar to that of the matron of honor.
William Brocklebank was organist for the ceremony in a church decorated with vases of white pompoms and gladidlas and white pew bows. Miss Janice Schutt, as soloist, sang "The Lord's Prayer," "Through the' years," and "A Joy in Lovely Things."
A brother of the bridegroom, Robert Moran Jr., of Smethport, served as best man and ushers were Thomas E. Fickinger, John Scott and John Schrower.
For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Scott wore a sheath dress fashioned

in green lace over taffeta, the empire bodice of which was accented with deep green velvet ending in panels. She wore matching accessories of green and white and a corsage of white shattered carnations. The bridegroom's mother wore a pale blue lace princess-styled sheath, with matching accessories of blue and white. Her corsage was of white shattered carnations.
Over 250 guests attended a lawn reception following the wedding at the Old Hickory Tavern in Coudersport.
The bride left for her wedding trip in a two-piece transitional brown and green cotton plaid dress with matching accessories in brown leather, and wearing a corsage of white roses.
An alumna of Coudersport High school, the bride attended Lock Haven State Teachers College and is a graduate of the Rochester Institute 'of Technology with a degree in Associate Applied Science in Retailing. Mr. Moran will graduate in January from Lock Haven State Teachers College with a degree in physical education.
Pre-nuptial parties included a shower by Mrs. Waldren and daughter, of Long Island; a linen shower by Miss Cecile Leavy; a variety shower by Mrs. George Grabe, and a rehearsal party at the Colonial Hotel in Smethport Friday.
The newly-weds plan to make their home in Williamsport..
