Menzo M. Burt
Menzo M. Burt, 87, of Coudersport died Friday (Nov. 6, 1970) at his E. Second St. home following a short illness.
He was born in Burtville Dec. 3, 1882, a son of Lyman and Mary Noether Burt. He was married in 1904 to the former Iva Manning. She died on May 8, 1958. In 1960, he married the former Clara Deagon, who died in 1968.
A resident of Coudersport for 46 years, he was the owner and manager of the Potter County Garage for 35 years.
He previously lived in Roulette and had served as the postmaster there.
He was a member of the Park United Methodist Church, Eulalia Lodge 342 F&AM, the Coudersport Consistory, and was a former chairman of the Potter County Democratic Committee.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Fatzinger of Camp Hill and Mrs. John (Marian) Sucowish of Endicott, N.Y.; a son, Lyman Burt of Endwell, N.Y.; four grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
A funeral service was held Monday afternoon at Grabe-Fickinger Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald H. G. Miller, pastor of Park United Methodist Church, officiating.
Pall bearers included John Hughes, Gorton Romaneo, Darnell Cook, Donald Fatzinger, Dave Gunzburger, Kenneth Olin and Milt Potter. Interment was in Card Creek Cemetery at Roulette. Masonic memorial services were held at the funeral home on Sunday evening.
Ernest E. Baker
Ernest Baker, 62, died Saturday (Nov. 7, 1970) in Cole Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
Mr. Baker was a retired farmer in the Ulysses area.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Mae Pye of Wattsburg and Mrs. Peg Shutt of Genesee; three brothers, Lewis Baker of Galeton, Fred Baker of Coudersport and Leo Baker of Ulysses.
Funeral services were held Monday at the Koch and Kear Funeral Home with the Rev. Faith Orth, pastor of Mills Union Church, officiating.
Interment followed in Ulysses Cemetery.
Willard L. Cutler
Willard Lester Cutler, 75, of Shinglehouse, formerly of Galeton, died Monday (Nov. 2, 1970) in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport after a short illness.
He was born August 15, 1895, in Kansas to Raymond F. and Vivia De Vinna. He was married to the former Grace Redner who is deceased. A retired carpenter, he is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Blanche Gross of Coudersport, Mrs. Beulah Martinez of Coudersport, R.D., Mrs. Flora Prentice of Belfast, N.Y., Mrs. Edith Mack of Genesee, R. D. 2, and Mrs. Joyce Palmer of Sycora, New Mexico; one son, Leroy of Scharrad, 111.; one brother, Edward of Shinglehouse; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Bennett of Alma, N.Y., Mrs. Flora Densmore of Ceres, N.Y., and Mrs. Mary Gee of East Aurora, N.Y., and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The funeral was Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. with interment in Raymond Cemetery at Gold.
Funeral arrangements were by Brown Funeral Home, Galeton.

Mr. and Mrs. Geoffrey A. Mahaley
Miss Melody Ann Gerhart and Geoffrey Alan Mahaley were united in marriage at 1:30 p.m. Saturday (March 1, 1975) in Park United Methodist Church, Coudersport.
The Rev. Donald H.G. Miller officiated at the double-ring ceremony for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Gerhart, Coudersport, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Mahaley, Coudersport RD.
Vases of flowers adorned the altar and wedding music was played by Randall Halter, organist.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown, made by her mother, of polyester knit. It was fashioned with long sleeves of flowered lace, with matching lace flowers accenting the front of the dress. Her flowered lace train was attached to the back. A crystal crown held her bouffant, elbow-length veil of illusion and she carried three, long-stemmed roses. During the ceremony she presented one rose to her mother and another to the mother of the groom.
Miss Sandra Spaulding, Coudersport, was maid of honor in a gown of multi-colored, polka dot, polyester knit with plum colored jacket.Teresa King, niece of the bride, was flower girl and similarly attired, and carried a basket of pompons and carnations and petals.
Bridesmaids were Deborah Gerhart, sister of the bride, and Janine Mahaley, sister of the groom. Dawn Trumbauer, Trumbauersville, niece of the bride was junior bridesmaid. They were attired in gowns of light purple, pink and dark pink respectively, with multi colored, polka dot jackets.
They carried bouquets of pink carnations and purple status.
For her daughter's wedding, the bride's mother selected a floor-length gown of beige floral polyester. The groom's mother chose a floor-length gown of apricot color trimmed in gold.
Nicholas Lombard, Erie, served as best man. Ushers were Raymond Brown, Coudersport, and Jeffrey Gerhart, brother of the bride, Trumbauersville. Shane Wilson, Coudersport, was junior usher, and David Hess, East Greenville, was ringbearer.
A ceremony, attended by 175 guests, was held at the Coudersport Firehall with music by the Back Roads. Joann Predmore, Coudersport, and Elliotts Bakery, Port Allegany, catered.
Both the bride and bridgroom are seniors at Coudersport Area High School. Mr. Mahaley is employed at E.H. Tucker and Sons as a mechanic.
Cole Auxiliary
Cole Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will hold its meeting Tuesday, March 11, at 8:00 p.m., at the Ulysses Baptist Church. Special music will be provided by a women's vocal trio from Ulysses. All members are asked to attend..
