AND MRS. HENRY W. CARPENTER Mr. and Mrs.Henry W. Carpenter celebrated their fifty-fifth wedding anniversary Thursday, November 24, at the home of their daughter, Mrs. George Burd, and family at Canisteo, N.Y. with a turkey dinner. Those present to enjoy the occasion were: Mr. and Mrs. George Burd and children, Marjorie and Gordon; Mr. and Mrs. Truman Burd and daughter, Salome, and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Burd. Another daughter, Mrs. Bert Palmatier and family of Ford Hill were not able to attend because of bad roads. Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter are well known in this section, having lived on Ford Hill for several years, later buying a farm at Myrtle. On account of Mr. Carpenter's health they now make their home at Canisteo. They have six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
