He married Susan Graves and had seven children, Josiah III, Sally, Ethan Allen, John Stillman, Albert, Hannah and Jerusha. The History of Willing gives the name of Stillman's wife as Susan Graves. His wife in the 1880 census was Sarah. Living on the Rogers property at that time were his sons Albert, Ethan and John with their families.
