Robinson Parsons and the father of Willie Parsons. The couple were the parents of a daughter, Lillie Parsons. In addition, Mr. Parsons gave Ellen his surname and helped to raise her. Hattie was widowed in 1939. She was a resident of Freeburn, when she passed away, in West Virginia, while visiting her daughter, Lillie.
