WEDDING
Miss Chryl Lynn Boyd became the bride of Donald Robert Dietrich at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 1, 1967, in the Sweden Valley Evangelical United Brethren Church.
The Rev. Harold West officiated at the single-ring ceremony for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul F. Boyd of Coudersport RD 4, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dietrich of Butler RD 6.
Vases of flowers and candelabra adorned the church and appropriate wedding music was played by Miss Camille Keck, pianist.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white satin and Chantilly lace with a matching floor-length lace train attached at the shoulders. A petaled headpiece held her fingertip veil and she carried an arrangement of white feathered carnations and variegated leaves on a white fan.
Miss Prudence Kio was maid of honor and Miss Ellen Dietrich was bridesmaid. Penny McManus served as flower girl. All the attendants were dressed identically in gowns of blue brocade and carried arrangements of pink-tinted feathered carnations centered with lighted candles.
For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Boyd chose a dress of blue crepe. The bridegroom's mother was attired in a dress of pink pleated nylon.
Ed Riefer of Butler RD 6 acted as best man and guests were ushered by Philip Varca, Coudersport.
Following a reception in the Central Grange Hall at Sweden Valley, the couple left on a wedding trip to an undisclosed destination.
The bride was graduated from Coudersport Area High School with the class ot 17. Her husband attended Greenbriar Military School in West Virginia and was graduated from Knoch High School in Butler.
They will make their home in Butler. A personal shower was given for the bride at the home of Miss Rhonda Pekarski and a variety shower at the home of Mrs. George Sallade.
number of new state campgrounds are under construction or in the planning stages.
At the signing ceremonies, Governor Shafer was presented with a camping lantern by Wallace Mayer, president of the Campground Asociation of Pennsylvania. William Clugh, chairman of the Campvention committee, presented the governor with the official insignia of the Campers and Hiker's Association. Governor Shafer, in his proclamation, pointed out the importance of the effect on the state's economy of a national Campvention and the camping industry as a whole. The Lieutenant Governor of Indiana will be among the thousands who wil participate in the campvention.
