Paul D. Till, 71, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Feb. 7, 2010, after a lengthy illness.
He was born Oct. 19, 1938, in Silver Creek, N.Y., He was the youngest of three boys born to the late Lillian and Leo Till. He attended the Sheridan United Methodist Church, was a member of the Sparrows Club at the Crystal Cathedral Ministries and also a member of the 700 Club. Paul devoted his whole life to his family and community. He retired from Al Tech Steel Corporation after 39 years. He and his wife, Sharon, built Till's Stable in Sheridan, where they boarded horses and had several of their own. Their love of horses led him to become a part of the Sheriff's Mounted Division for many years. His desire to serve his community inspired him to run for Justice of the Peace for the Town of Sheridan, which he served as for 12 years. He was also a member of the New York State Magistrates Association.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Sharon Ruttenbur Till;
his mother-in-law, Beulah Ruttenbur (94),
his first wife and mother of his five grown children, Judy Norton.
His children are
- Pastor Paul (Karen) Till of Arizona,
- Mimi Fesser of Dunkirk,
- Rick Till of Sheridan,
- Susan (Dan) Corsi of Fredonia and
- Michael (Denene) Till of Arizona.
He was also a loving grandpa to 10 grandchildren;
Michael Fesser, Jerad Till, Judy Ann Corsi, Laura Corsi, Samantha Corsi, Shelby Till, Danielle Till, Shane Till, Joey Till and Hannah Till.
Nieces include Cheryl Till, Claudia Wilkey and Beth Till.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Till;
mother, Lillian Till;
brothers,
- Arthur Till and
- Allen Till;
and niece, Terry Till Fijal.
Paul is born again Believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. We know you are no longer suffering and are resting peacefully with our Lord in Heaven. You will remain in our hearts and always be loved and remembered by all who shared in your wonderful life.
