Shaw Dies At Home Here In ill health for the past two years Rathbun L. Shaw died at his home at 510 Dwight Street early Friday morning (Feb. 22. 1963). A native here Mr. Shaw was a son of Frederick and Cora Cook Shaw. He was born June 21, 1901. He married Louise Allison Cutler, Dec. 26, 1921, at Coudersport. He was an electrical inspector for fire underwriters for the past 15 years. With the exception of short residences in Port Allegany and Philadelphia his whole life was spent here. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Louise Shaw; - a daughter, Mrs. Ruth E. Davis, of West Bend, Ky.; and two sons, - Sgt. Jack F. Shaw, OFFUTT, A.F.B., Nebraska, and - Robert E. Shaw, Coudersport, and - his mother, Mrs. Cora Goodnoe, also of Coudersport. Mr. Shaw was a member of Coudersport Golf Club and of the Loyal order of Moose. Friends were received Saturday and funeral service was held from the Grabe Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m., Monday. Officiating was the Rev. Elmon Roy, pastor of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. - Burial was in Sweden Hill Cemetery. Pall bearers were - Edwin Furman, - Richard Wetzel, - William Geigle, - Edwin Schott, - Herbert Mackey and - Charles Updegraff. Schott Jr., of Coudersport ! No. 1 in order of time (but hardly importance!) was the opening of his optometry shop on North Main St. at McConeghy the Jeweler's upstairs. No. 2 was the birth of a son in the Wellsboro Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Schott is the former Marjorie Richar, of Galeton. Their first child, the infant weighed nine pounds, three and one-half ounces. He has been named Edwin Morris. Dr. Schott was graduate from the Pennsylvania State College of Optometry, in Philadelphia, last June. During his senior year, he interned in the optom-erty school's public eye clinic and contact eye clinic. Dr. Schott served with the U. S. Army Signal Corps in Italy from 1943 to 1945. Shaw Dies At Home Here In ill health for the past two years Rathbun L. Shaw died at his home at 510 Dwight Street early Friday morning (Feb. 22. 1963). A native here Mr. Shaw was a son of Frederick and Cora Cook Shaw. He was born June 21, 1901. He married Louise Allison Cutler, Dec. 26, 1921, at Coudersport. He was an electrical inspector for fire underwriters for the past 15 years. With the exception of short residences in Port Allegany and Philadelphia his whole life was spent here. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Louise Shaw; - a daughter, Mrs. Ruth E. Davis, of West Bend, Ky.; and two sons, - Sgt. Jack F. Shaw, OFFUTT, A.F.B., Nebraska, and - Robert E. Shaw, Coudersport, and - his mother, Mrs. Cora Goodnoe, also of Coudersport. Mr. Shaw was a member of Coudersport Golf Club and of the Loyal order of Moose. Friends were received Saturday and funeral service was held from the Grabe Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m., Monday. Officiating was the Rev. Elmon Roy, pastor of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. - Burial was in Sweden Hill Cemetery. Pall bearers were - Edwin Furman, - Richard Wetzel, - William Geigle, - Edwin Schott, - Herbert Mackey and - Charles Updegraff.
