Rathbun L. Shaw Dies At Home Here
In ill health for the past two years Rathbun L. Shaw died at his home at 510 Dwight Street early Friday morning (Feb. 22. 1963).
A native here Mr. Shaw was a son of Frederick and Cora Cook Shaw. He was born June 21, 1901. He married Louise Allison Cutler, Dec. 26, 1921, at Coudersport.
He was an electrical inspector for fire underwriters for the past 15 years. With the exception of short residences in Port Allegany and Philadelphia his whole life was spent here.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Louise Shaw;
- a daughter, Mrs. Ruth E. Davis, of West Bend, Ky.; and
two sons,
- Sgt. Jack F. Shaw, OFFUTT, A.F.B., Nebraska, and
- Robert E. Shaw, Coudersport, and
- his mother, Mrs. Cora Goodnoe, also of Coudersport.
Mr. Shaw was a member of Coudersport Golf Club and of the Loyal order of Moose.
Friends were received Saturday and funeral service was held from the Grabe Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m., Monday. Officiating was the Rev. Elmon Roy, pastor of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
- Burial was in Sweden Hill Cemetery.

Mr & Mrs Rathbone Shaw sho have been spending the winter months at Daytona, Fla, arrived home Thursday. They are both looking fine and enjoyed their stay in the mild climate immensely.
