Mr. Spees was born in No vember, 1901, at Ceres, Pa., a son of Thomas J. and Grace Carpenter Spees. Surviving are his widow, Lula Wood Spees; two daugh ters, Mrs. Merle Beck, Wells ville, and Mrs. Edward Hanel of S'hing*lehouse, Pa.; a sis ter, Mrs. Eva Crane, Friend ship; a brother, Kenneth Spees of Bell's Run, Pa.; a half-brother, Verne Baldwin of Friendship; and four grand children. Funeral services were con ducted Wednesday at the; Schaffner Funeral Home, in Bolivar. Burial was made in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Boli var.
