Lyon COUDERSPORT, Pa.-Mrs. Nellie P. Lyon, 87, of RD 1, Coudersport, died Wednesday at the Olean General Hospital, Olean after a brief illness. She was born in Sweden Township, Potter Co., Sept. 13,1887, a daughter of Arthur and Vernette Eastman Perkins. On July 15,1908 in Alfred, N.Y., she married Charles W. Lyon, who died Nov. 23,1963. Mrs. Lyon was a lifetime resident of Sweden Valley, was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, the Dorcas Society, and Central Grange No. 1216. She is survived by two sons, - Farnham of Akron, N.Y., - M. Stanley of Sweden Valley; two daughters, - Mrs. Florence V. Lyon of Olean - Mrs. John Jean Burdsall of Wellsville; 14 grandchildren, 21 great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the family residence, Sweden Valley, after 7 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held Sunday with a 1:30 prayer service at the family residence, followed by a 2 p.m. service at the Seventh Day Adventist Church. The Rev. Yuergen H.G. Struntz, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Sweden Cemetery, Coudersport RD. Arrangements are under the direction of the Grabo-Fickinger Funeral Home, Coudersport. Mrs. Nellie P. Lyon
COUDERSPORT, Pa.-Mrs. Nellie P. Lyon, 87, of RD 1, Coudersport, died Wednesday at the Olean General Hospital, Olean after a brief illness.
She was born in Sweden Township, Potter Co., Sept. 13,1887, a daughter of Arthur and Vernette Eastman Perkins. On July 15,1908 in Alfred, N.Y., she married Charles W. Lyon, who died Nov. 23,1963.
Mrs. Lyon was a lifetime resident of Sweden Valley, was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, the Dorcas Society, and Central Grange No. 1216.
She is survived by
two sons,
- Farnham of Akron, N.Y.,
- M. Stanley of Sweden Valley;
two daughters,
- Mrs. Florence V. Lyon of Olean
- Mrs. John Jean Burdsall of Wellsville;
14 grandchildren, 21 great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the family residence, Sweden Valley, after 7 p.m. today.
