Her greatest love was spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors are her daughters, - Lori (Bob) O'Neill of Bainbridge and - Linda (Rick) Udelson of Russell; sons, - Clinton (Jacci) Childs of Concord Township, - Bruce Childs of South Russell and - Dwight Childs of Garrettsville; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers; one sister, and many nieces and nephews. Her husband, Byron O. Childs, whom she married July 31, 1954, in Ashtabula, preceded her in death Jan 30, 1998. Her parents, Burt and Ruth (Rodgers) McCoy; son, Craig Childs; grandson, Jacob Childs; three brothers; and one sister, are also deceased. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2010, at Newbury United Community Church, 14916 Auburn Road, Newbury, OH 44065. The Rev. Patricia Hough of the church will officiate. Burial will be in Munn Cemetery (at intersection of Munn Road and Music St.) in Newbury. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2010, at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., (Route 44, 500 feet south of Route 6/Chardon Square), Chardon.
