Plans for the annual Three Rivers Council Camp Fire Day Camp were finalized at a meeting held last week at the home of Mrs. Robert Toombs. Aiding with the plans were Mrs. Edwin Wetzel, Mrs. George Olin, Mrs. Charles Fickinger, Mrs. Edward Simons and Mrs. Kenneth Rexford.
Patsy Olin and Nancy and Linda Goodnoe will serve as aides and also helped with plans for camp activities. The camp will be held in Mitchell Park Aug. 8-12 and girls may register with Mrs. Toombs or at the Community Building on Monday.

Patricia Olin Ulkins
Patricia Olin Ulkins, 72, died unexpectedly the morning of Jan. 11, 2022. Pat was born Nov 15, 1949, in Coudersport, Pa. She grew up in Coudersport with her parents, George and Shirley Olin, and her sister, Georgeanne Kelley. Pat married Dennis Ulkins in Rochester, N.Y. in November of 1969. They had one child, Marnie Ulkins in October 1970.
Pat settled in Fredonia, in the mid 1970s, with her daughter, Marnie, to attend SUNY Fredonia and quickly found her life’s passion, working with young children, at The Chautauqua Day Care Center on campus. Early childhood development and education remained the focus of her career and life, at The Chautauqua Day Care and eventually at her home-based school on Center Street in Fredonia.
She was active in advocacy and organizations related to childhood development, as well as participating in local politics.
She is survived by her daughter, Marnie Ulkins of Fredonia’ and her sister, Georgeanne Kelley of Florida.
There are no memorial service plans at the present time. If you would like to do something to honor her memory, please donate to a children’s charity of your choice.
