I struggled with Transformational Grammar in college…tough course for English majors…but I dug out my notebook and took it back to school. That’s all it took! Saved me! Mr. Holt- No-nonsense math, another really good teacher. I am still a grammar snob, thanks to Mrs. Olin; she simply made English grammar so clear. I also admired Mr. Burris's command of English literature- he made it so interesting. Mr. Wykoff was certainly more awake than he appears here; I remember him more for his coaching and I understand he was a star running-back 'in the day'. I remember Miss Plieskatt as a student teacher for Mrs. Olin. I didn't realize at the time that Miss Atkinson was a local girl; I think she student taught here too. · Reply · Share · 18m · Edited
