First to arrive was Ruth Virginia, who weighed six pounds, three and one-half ounces. Her sister, April Lynne, weighed six pounds, 15 ounces. They join two brothers, Lynn 5 and Richard, 3. Mrs. Snyder is the former Judy Major, daughter of Mrs. Ruth Major, Austin, and Lavern Major, Port Allegany. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Harry Snyder, Coudersport. Engaged Miss Dawn Elliott Mr. and Mrs. Richard Elliott, Genesee RD1, announce the engagement of their daughter, Dawn, to Sam Lehman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Lehman, Brookland. BIRTHDAY An 80th birthday celebration in honor of Walter Lattin, Coudersport, was held Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. Lee Bennett and family, Roulette. Dinner guests were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lattin, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Lattin, Mrs. Dean Yeager and son, Lenny, Bradford, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Martin. Afternoon guests were Mrs. Edna Lapolt, Mr. Lattin's sister, and family of Emporium. CHARITY The Andrews Settlement and Ellisburg Community Club, together with women of the Genesee area, recently sponsored a bake sale as a benefit for the Easter Seal Campaign of the Potter County Society for Crippled Children and Adults. More than $148 was earned at the sale which was held in the Palmatier Garage showroom. Officers of the club are Louise Carpenter, president; Corrine James, vice president, and Dorothy Constable, secretary-treasurer. She was born at Crooked Creek, Pa., June 3, 1872, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hannsee. Seven children were born to her, four of whom susvive, Walter A. Lattin, Russell E. Lattin, Coudersport, Edna May Laypolt, Emporium, and Arthur J. Lattin, Coudersport. She is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Edith Guncheon, Port Allegany, Mrs. Alice Pelham, Wilmington, Del., Mrs. Dill Birmingham, Wilmington, Del. She was a member of the Methodist Church. The funeral was held yesterday at the Free Methodist Church with Rev. Walters, pastor of the local church, officiating and burial was made at Galeton Cemetery.
