James B. Dougherty Dies In Olean Hospital
James Blackmore Dougherty, of Olean died at the St. Francis Hospital, Oct. 15, 1957 following a long illness.
Born in Pittsburgh he was a veteran employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad. He was a member of St. Marys of the Angels Church. He moved to Odin in 1922 and then to Austin in 1941. He was married to Josephine Bernard.
He is survived by a son, James Dougherty of Olean and six daughters,
- Mrs. Margery Urich of Carnegie;
- Mrs. Mary J. Magner of Pittsburgh:
- Mrs. Annie E. Santas, Washington, , D. C;
- Mrs. Claire Mitcheltree of Odin;
- Mrs. Catherine Heinrich of Carnegie, and
- Mrs. Alverda Glatz of Olean. There are 15 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
The body was removed to the Hennan Funeral Home, Olean where prayer services were conducted Friday morning. Mass was at 10:00 a. m. and
- burial was in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery at Allegany, N. Y.

Nov. 6 -- Odin Grange held its regular meeting Friday night. The first and second degrees were put on and refreshments and dancing enjoyed. The third and fourth degrees will be put on Nov. 17.
Mr. and Mrs. James Daugherty of Austin spent Wednesday night with Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Mitcheltree.
Mrs. Kathryn Earle and daughter and Mrs. Robert Crosby motored to Sayre where baby Sharon had a check up at the hospital there.
Miss Ruth Lamont came home from the hospital Tuesday and will be at home for a while.
Mrs. Paul Heinrich of Carnegie, Pa., Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Beaver of Crofton, Pa., and son Vernon E. Beaver of Fort Dix, N. J., spent the first few days of hunting season at the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Micheltree.
Mr. and Mrs. James Jeffers of Port Allegany spent the week-end with her parents.
Mrs. Clare Mitcheltree, Mr. and Mrs. James Jeffers spent Sunday afternoon at the home -of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Daugherty of Austin.
