She was a graduate of Coudersport High School’s class of 1940. Bonnie attended Bradford’s School of Nursing and worked in Coudersport for Dr.’s Herman and George Mosch in Coudersport. She married the late Darwin “Duke” Reed. Bonnie was a member of the Park United Methodist Church in Coudersport, Eulalia Chapter 148 Order of Eastern Star, and the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and for many years she volunteered at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital. Bonnie is survived by - a daughter: Darlene L. Unger of Jonestown, PA; - a son: Roger W. Reed of DuBois, PA; 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and - one brother: Paul (Josephine) Corey of Coudersport. She was preceded in death by her parents, former husband, - daughter: Janet (Mike), four brothers: - Roderick, - Merlyn, - Edwin and - Dean Corey, and - a sister: Glendora Chilson. A Celebration of Life will be held at the family’s convenience, and those wishing to make a donation in Bonnie’s memory are requested to remember the Park United Methodist Church 15 E. 3rd St. Coudersport, PA 16915, or Potter County Hospice 1001 E. 2nd St. Coudersport, PA 16915. Bonnie was a member of the Park United Methodist Church in Coudersport, Eulalia Chapter 148 Order of Eastern Star, and the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and for many years she volunteered at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital. _________________________ Merlyn Hoxsie Corey Obituary Posted by LARRY HERBSTRITT Merlyn Hoxsie Corey Merlyn Hoxsie Corey, 82, of Coudersport, died Saturday, January 17, 2009 at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, in Coudersport. Born on October 3, 1927 in Sweden Valley, he was the son of Glenn and Lida Roberts Corey. On August 16, 1947 in Coudersport, he married June Abbott who survives. Mr. Corey attended schools in Coudersport and served in the U. S. Army. He was employed for 35 years at Pittsburg Corning in Port Allegany, PA retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Coudersport Golf Club. In addition to being an avid golfer he enjoyed the outdoors. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Jana Blumer and her husband Jon of Coudersport; daughter-in-law, Sally Corey of Port Allegany; five grandsons, Skyler and Hunter Blumer, Mitchell, Darin and Charles Corey; three brothers, Paul Corey and his wife Joey, Edwin Corey and his wife Lois, and Dean Corey and his wife Jean, all of Coudersport; one sister Bonnie Reed of Coudersport; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ricki Corey; a sister Glendora Chilson; and a brother, Roderick Corey. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Sweden Hill Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Autism Research Institute, 4182 Adams Ave., San Diego, CA 92116 or the Coudersport Golf Club, RD 4, Coudersport, PA 16915 Arrangements are under direction of the Thomas E.
