The Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Coudersport was the setting for the candlelight wedding of Miss Sally Ann Holcomb and James W. McFarland of Uniontown, Pa. Miss Holcomb is the daughter of Mrs. Harold C. Holcomb and the late Mr. Holcomb who was county sheriff.
The Rev. Floyd McFarland, father of the bridegroom, and the Rev. Burton Wilkins, pastor, officiated at the double-ring ceremony Saturday. Miss Barbara Kayser of Petaluma, Calif., was vocal soloist and Miss Kathleen Wilkins of Wellsville, violin soloist, with Miss Lucille Clark of Coudersport as organist. A recital of classical music preceded the nuptial ceremony at 7:30 p.m.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Richard Holcomb. She wore a floor-length, A-line gown of silk chiffon over faille, fashioned with an empire waistline, scoop neckline and long pointed sleeves. It was complimented by a detachable train falling from below the shoulders.
Lace appliques, seed pearls and sequins highlighted the bodice and train and bordered the sleeves and skirt. Her bouffant elbow-length veil of British illusion was held in place by a double tier crown etched in seed pearls and crystals.
