Foster W. Miller, born at AnSettlement, Pa., November 24, 1894, a son of the late Elmer and Emily Foster Miller, died at Corning, N.Y., Jan. 26, 1951.
He lived at Andrews Settlement until he entered the army and served overseas in World War I, being discharged Jan. 18, 1919. He was a charter the American Legion of Whitesville, N.Y.
He married Gladys Kent of Gold, June 5, 1918, and to them four children were born: Charles, Genesee; Kenneth, Mills; Thelma (Mrs. Harold Steadman died April 30, 1948) and Raymond of Genesee; also eight grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death seventeen years ago.
He is also survived by the following sisters and brothers:
Mrs. Clarence Neefe, Coudersport;
Herbert Miller, Gardenville, N.J.;
Mrs. Park E. Gibson, Pittsburgh;
Miss Laura A. Miller, Buffalo, N.Y.;
John Miller, Fishing Creek and
Mrs. Edward Tennant of Hamburg, N. Y.;
also 17 nieces and nephews, 28 great nieces and nephews and one great grandnephew.
For the past twenty years or more he had been employed by the late Tom Snyder of North Fork.
Funeral service was held from the Kear Funeral Home in Ulysses Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with the Rev. Clair Statham of Harrison Valley officiating. Interment was in the Mills Cemetery..
