Joey was born on November 15, 1933 in Limestone, NY, the daughter of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Naples) Yannie. She married Paul M. Corey, on November 1, 1952 at the Faith United Methodist Church, Sweden Valley, and they celebrated 67 years of marriage before his passing on February 28, 2020. Joey was a beloved wife and mother who cherished time with her children, grandchildren, and extended family. She shared a love of golf with her husband Paul and was a club champion golfer at the Coudersport Golf Club as well as member for over 50 years. Joey also enjoyed quilting, reading, gardening, bird watching, baking and knitting. Joey worked several years at Pure Carbon before being employed by the Coudersport Area School District where she retired after 18 years of service. She had a strong faith and was a dedicated member and volunteer to the Faith United Methodist Church of Sweden Valley. Surviving are two sons, - Glenn A. (the late Diane) Corey of Rocky Mount VA and - Dennis P. (Wendy) Corey of Williamsport; two daughters, - Linda L. Corey of Butler, Pa, and - Loriann (James) Bollhorst of Coudersport; grandchildren, - Stephanie (Richard) Blair, - Elizabeth (James) Norton, - Lori (Dan) Glant, - Jason (Jamie) Corey, - Aaron Corey, - Jamie (Matthew) Turner, - Emily (Daniel) Daugherty, - Alyson Corey, - Christopher (Amy) Foust, - Jennifer (Grant) Brown, - Koriann (Thomas Kisiel) Bollhorst; 20 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; - a brother, Lawrence (Beth) Yannie, and several nieces and nephews. He had been ill for months out suffered a stroke Saturday and was hospitalized. He was bom October 18, 1887 in Oquila, Italy, the son of Antony and Louise Yannie. He came to the United States in 1906 and was naturalized in 1940. He lived in Bradford before moving to Coudersport 15 years ago. Mr. Yannie was married August 3, 1920 in Limestone, N. Y., to the former Antoinette Naples who survives. Besides his wife he is survived by six daughters: - Mrs. Louise Camp, Hornell NY, - Mrs. Mary Mitchell, - Mrs. Lucy White, - Mrs. Leona Shaver, - Mrs. Josephine Corey and - Miss Anne Yannie, all of Coudersport; four sons, - John Yannie and - Alexander Yannie, both of Kennedy, NY, - Lawrence Yannie, Falconer NY, and - Paul Yannie, Coudersport. Other survivors include 18 grandchildren and four brothers, - Gregory Yannie and - Valentino Yannie of Canisteo NY, and two brothers in Italy. The rosary will be recited at the Grabe Funeral Home at 8:00 o'clock this evening. Mass will follow the 9:00 o'clock funeral service Friday morning at St. Eulalia Church. The Rev. Paul was born on May 26, 1930 in Coudersport, the son of the late Glenn H. & Lida Amelia (Roberts) Corey. He married the former Josephine A. “Joey” Yannie, who survives, on November 1, 1952 at the Faith United Methodist Church, Sweden Valley, and they have celebrated 67 years of marriage together. Paul retired from Pure Carbon, Coudersport, after 37 years of service as a Maintenance Supervisor. Paul was an Army veteran from 1947-1951. Paul was an avid golfer and a long time member of the Coudersport Golf Club. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Paul was always there to help friends and family when ever needed. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. His family was very important to him. Surviving in addition to his wife, Joey, are two sons, - Glenn A. Corey and - Dennis P. (Wendy) Corey all of Williamsport; two daughters, - Linda L. Corey of Butler and - Lori A. (James) Bollhorst of Coudersport; 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He had been ill for months out suffered a stroke Saturday and was hospitalized. He was bom October 18, 1887 in Oquila, Italy, the son of Antony and Louise Yannie. He came to the United States in 1906 and was naturalized in 1940. He lived in Bradford before moving to Coudersport 15 years ago. Mr. Yannie was married August 3, 1920 in Limestone, N. Y., to the former Antoinette Naples who survives. Besides his wife he is survived by six daughters: - Mrs. Louise Camp, Hornell NY, - Mrs. Mary Mitchell, - Mrs. Lucy White, - Mrs. Leona Shaver, - Mrs. Josephine Corey and - Miss Anne Yannie, all of Coudersport; four sons, - John Yannie and - Alexander Yannie, both of Kennedy, NY, - Lawrence Yannie, Falconer NY, and - Paul Yannie, Coudersport. Other survivors include 18 grandchildren and four brothers, - Gregory Yannie and - Valentino Yannie of Canisteo NY, and two brothers in Italy. The rosary will be recited at the Grabe Funeral Home at 8:00 o'clock this evening. Mass will follow the 9:00 o'clock funeral service Friday morning at St. Eulalia Church. The Rev. Arthur Leon will officiate. - Burial will be in Eulalia Cemetery. ______ Pictures Shown At WCTU Meeting The WCTU met at the home of Mrs. L. S. Erway Tuesday evening.
