Betty L. Zipfel, 84, of Center Township, died Saturday, October 11, 2008 in her home.
Mrs. Zipvel was born on February 10, 1924 in Sigel. She was a daughter of the late Byrd and Grace (Payne) Allen.
She married Charles E. Zipfel who preceded her in death in 1994.
Surviving are five sons:
- Charles A. (Carol) Zipfel, Medina, Ohio;
- Phillip (Rose Mary) Zipfel, New London;
- Steven (Loretta) Zipfel, Southampton;
- Jeffrey (Edith) Zipfel with whom she resided;
- Rev. Nathan (Darlene) Zipfel, Johnstown;
two daughters,
- Mrs. Bernard (Virginia) Kirchoff of Indiana and
- Mrs. Kennard (Shirley) Pierce of Brookville;
12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are:
- a brother, Stanley Pierce, Jr. of Tennessee and
two sisters,
- Donna Wantje and
- Gayle Bair, both of Sigel.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Zipfel.
Family and freinds will gather Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 1 pm at the Woodland Cemetery, Potter County, where a memorial service will be conducted by her son, Rev. Nathan Zipfel.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Tatalovich Funeral Hom and Cremation Services, Center Township, Monaca.
