Born June 4, 1951 in Brookville, she was a daughter of the late Charles Edward and Betty Allen Zipfel of Shinglehouse. She was married to William K. Pierce Sr. on April 2, 1971 in Coudersport. Mrs. Zipvel was born on February 10, 1924 in Sigel. She was a daughter of the late Byrd and Grace (Payne) Allen. She married Charles E. Zipfel who preceded her in death in 1994. Surviving are five sons: - Charles A. (Carol) Zipfel, Medina, Ohio; - Phillip (Rose Mary) Zipfel, New London; - Steven (Loretta) Zipfel, Southampton; - Jeffrey (Edith) Zipfel with whom she resided; - Rev. Nathan (Darlene) Zipfel, Johnstown; two daughters, - Mrs. Bernard (Virginia) Kirchoff of Indiana and - Mrs. Kennard (Shirley) Pierce of Brookville; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are: - a brother, Stanley Pierce, Jr. of Tennessee and two sisters, - Donna Wantje and - Gayle Bair, both of Sigel. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Zipfel. Family and freinds will gather Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 1 pm at the Woodland Cemetery, Potter County, where a memorial service will be conducted by her son, Rev. Nathan Zipfel.
