ENGAGED - Mr. and Mrs. Everett Saulter, Coudersport RD, announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Lee, to James Carlyle Pankey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Pankey, Chattanooga, Tenn. Miss Saulter was graduated in 1962 from Coudersport Area High School and is presently living at the home of friends in Chattanooga where she is. employed as a secretary with the Farley Studios. Her fiance was graduated from Chattanooga City High School in 1960 and is employed as a ware house foreman for the National Biscuit Company in Chattanooga. He formerly lived in Charleston, 111. The wedding will take place June 8 in Chattanooga. The Rev. Lee Roberson, pastor of the Highland Park Baptist Church and president of the Tennessee Temple- Schools, will perform the ceremony.
Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Butler celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary Sunday (Feb. 17) with a family dinner party at their home.
They were married Feb. 10, 1923, in the Park Methodist parsonage and were attended by their mothers, Mrs. Anna Butler and Mrs. Josephine Haxton. The couple has three sons, Eugene H. Butler, El-dred; Ted Butler, Austin, Texas, and Keith Butler, Niagara Falls, N.Y. They also have 11 grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Butler have operated Carl's lunchroom in Coudersport for 29 years.
One of their grandchildren, Sharon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Butler, arrived on the Butlers' silver wedding anniversary and celebrated her 15th birthday with them this year. Also sharing honors with them were Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Crosby who had their 40th anniversary Feb. 1. They are Sharon's maternal grandparents.
Others in the family attending were Mr. and Mrs. Keith Butler and family of Niagara Falls, N.Y.. Mrs. Clair Littlefield and Miss Judy Littlefield, Bradford. Their son, Ted, of Austin, Texas, was unable to be present. He is planning to accompany Billy Graham on his crusade to Japan in April.
Local P-TA Nominating Committee Is Named
A nominating committee has been appointed by Mrs. Frank Ruter Jr., president of the Coudersport Parent-Teacher Association, to draw up a slate of proposed officers for the 1963-64 school term. Mrs. Paul Mosch, Mrs. E. P. Huntington Jr. and Mrs. Jerry Ru-bar are members of the committee. 3 of of ' of
