GEORGE H. LUDWIG DIES AT BLOSSBURG
George H. Ludwig of Keating Summit died in the Blossburg Hospital June 15, following a stroke. He had been in ill health for the past two years. He was the son of the late Calvin and Myra Strieker Ludwig and was born at Williamsport, Pa., February 25, 1886. He spent a greater part of his life at Williamsport. He moved to Galeton March 3, 1914, where he was employed in the Central Pennsylvania Lumber Mill for a time. Later he was employed at the B. & S. Railroad shop.
August 19, 1914 he was united in marriage to Miss Lucinda Johnston. Ten children were born, three of whom preceded him in death.
The remains were brought to the home of a neighbor, Mr. and Mrs. John Harrier where the funeral was held at 2:00 o'clock Thursday. and then taken to Galeton for burial.
He is survived by his wife and the following children:
- Mrs. Sally Miller, Dunbar, Pa.;
- Mrs. Kathleen Campbell. Wellsboro;
- Dewitt Ludwig, Odin;
- Henry, George, Jr., and Lena at home;
- also a sister, Mrs. Hazel Hanes of Dullivan, N. Y.,
and seven grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
