THOMAS TUBBS Mrs. Louise Anna Tubbs of Cortland died at her home on Friday, August 4, 1944. She had been in poor health for some time but had been up and around until a week ago Tuesday when she suffered a cerebral hemorrhage. Mrs. Tubbs was born in Owego 74 years ago, the daughter of Charles and Anna Hoover Westfall. She was united in marriage to Thomas Tubbs on August 6, 1886. Mr. Tubbs died November 27, 1904. In 1919, she moved from Candor, where she had spent the larger part of her life, to Cortland where she made her residence until her death. Mrs. Tubbs was devoted to her home and was always willing to help others in sickness. Surviving are - one daughter, Mrs. Milton Tuttle of Owego; two sons at home, - James and Edson; three grandchildren, - Wilfred, - Gerald and - Winifred Tubbs of Binghamton; two brothers, - Edward Westfall of Corning and - Lute Westfall of Oklahoma. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Alexander Perry, pastor of Monterey Baptist Church on Monday. - The Rev. Mr. Perry also officiated at the prayer service at the grave in Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor.
