ROBERT LEHMAN
Robert Lehman, S. 2c, is the son of Mr and Mrs Harvey Lehman, RD1, Galeton. He is but 18 years of age. He had had three years of instruction in Galeton HS when he felt the urge to enlist in the Navy, October 20, 1943. He received boot training at Samson, NY and in December he was home on a brief furlough. His address now is:

Return to This Country
Two of Galeton's boys wounded in World War II have recently been returned to the USA. The are Sgt. John R. (Bob) Leach, USMC, wounded in the legs by a Jap grenade at Saipan, July 9, for which he was treated in a naval hospital overseas, was returned to California about two weeks ago. He expects to be sent to the naval hsopital at Sampson, NY.
