CHARLES H. LUSH
PFC Charles H. Lush, 339355142, Co. C, 343 Inf, A.P.O. 450, Camp San Luis Opispo, Calif, is a Galeton man. He was inducted April 19, 1944, and had basic training at Camp Blanding, Fla. He was recently transferred from rifle platoon to machine gun and mrotar platoon. Private Lush's wife resides in Galeton.

Infantryman's Badge
PFC Charles H. Lush of Galeton, who went overseas in February (1945) and served with the Infantry in the First Army, has been awarded the Combat Infantryman's badge according to a letter dated April 20, received by his wife, the former Miss Doris M. Roberts of Coudersport, now a resident of Galeton....
... He is the only son of Mr and Mrs Harry L. Lush of this place and was employed at Lush Brothers Store in Galeton before entering service.
Walter (Jug) Long, S. 2/c, of Corpus Christi, Texas, is spending a furlough with his father, Charles Long and Mrs. Long. Seaman Long's brothers have all spend some time at the Long home to visit during the 16-day furlough.

LLOYD G. LONG
Private First Class is Lloyd G. Long, son of Mrs. George Clark of Galeton. He was with Co. C, Medical Regiment, Indiantown Gap, Pa. Private Long enlisted with the National Guard, February 1, 1941, for three years. He is now in the "Advance Guard" and was on his way to Fort Beauregard, La when Mrs. Clark last had word from him.
