The nun who taught this adored Gerard Manley Hopkins, me, not so much.
World History
Favorite class was World History with Sr. Peter Damian,PHD. She was a fantastic professor and very tough. I got an A from her, which was unheard of for a non-history major. RIP Sister, I miss you.

We did not have language labs like students do now. The stress was on being able to read and write the language, not speak it. I had A's for all 3 years but had almost no speaking fluency.
world history american history
Mr. Tirrell was a very demanding teacher. You could tell he loved what he taught. Had I not been set on going into nursing I would have become an historian.

ABOUT ELIZABETH
It's only cancer
I am a mother, grandmother, and nurse. I wanted to be a nurse since 1st grade. Nursing has been a fantastic experience. I am a survivor. Breast cancer was easy, ocular melanoma has been anything but easy. And now stomach cancer. Uffda, is it ever over? And the high school student who made a commitment to never smoke has had her childhood asthma return with a vengeance, proving life isn't fair.

This photo came from my collection of photos that had belonged to Lillian McCullough Olmstead.
It is a photo of her sister Bellvera McCullough and Bell's husband Clarence Love, and their children.
Bell was born in 1859 and died in 1940.
They lived in Frewsburg.

Between my great grandfather & his 2nd wife Lillian McCullough, my grandfather, and my Dad I have hundreds of old photos. I only wish I had even a few on the other side of my family.
