Ulysses, Apr 20---
William Hosley, aged 90 years, died at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Merritt, Tuesday, April 14, following a long illness.
William Martin Hosley was born at Smithfield, Bradford County, Pa., April 2, 1852.
He was the son of Rufus and Sally Doing Hosley, was one of seven children, and is the last member of the immediate family.
January 15, 1875, he was united in marriage with Miss Margaret Lehman, of Ulysses.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Hosley lived their entire lives in Ulysses and vicinity. Mrs. Hosley preceded her husband in death by seven and one-half years.
In early life Mr. Hosley was engaged in farming, later becoming a real estate dealer. Alrhough not a member of the Methodist Church he was a loyal supporter and regular attendant of that church.
He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Merritt, three grandchildren, Mrs. Robert Soule, of Buffalo, Stanley
