Holley, Clarissa Norton Granger had to be connected to Rev Seba Norton, of Old Sodus, now Wayne County, NY. Captain Levi H was born there, and seems to consider Seba as his paternal grandfather. At any rate, when Levi's 1st wife died, during the Civil War, and Levi returned home he travelled to Michigan to woo and Wed the widow Clarissa. Maybe, if Randy Currie and I are correct, and Mrs Seba Norton was our Barnabas Kinney, Jr's mother, he was marrying a 1/2 Cousin, common in those days.
