Born May 16, 1942 in Olean, NY she was the foster daughter of Doris and Andrew Shaffer. On August 13, 1960 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Allegany she married Jerry Spring who survives. Mrs. Spring was a graduate of Allegany Central School and resided in Allegany most of her life. Her life was centered on family activities including camping, playing cards and doing puzzles. She enjoyed time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Surviving besides her husband are 4 children - June (Rick) Giles, - Bonnie (Bob Russo) Cedeno, - Andrew (Connie) Spring and - Eugene (Keri) Spring, all of Allegany; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; - 1 brother Claude Murphy; - 1 sister-in-law Marion Shaffer and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by 2 brothers - Donald Shaffer in 1951 and - Douglas Shaffer. - Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery.
