Mr and Mrs Ivan Kibbie observed their 50th wedding annibersary on Christmas in their home on Second St. Beeattress is the daughter of Mr. Rosco and Carrie Mix Weimer of Port Allegany. Mr. Ivan Kibbie is the son of Mr and Mrs Lyman Kibbie and spent his lifetime in Roulette Township.
The couple have
- a son, Weimer Jay Kibbie of Williamsport;
- a daughter, Lily Meister of Sacramento, Calif. and
three grandchildren.
Mrs Kibbie taught school in McKean County schools for nine years. Mr Kibbie was an employee of Gray Chemical Co. until it was closed and he was retired from Tom Leete's lumber mill at age 72. The Kibbies are believed to be the oldest couple living in the area. Ivan being 86 and Beeattress 80 years.

I truly loved these two, my neighbors!! always welcomed the neighborhood kids and I do remember singing the Old Rugged Cross with them!! they were just great people, very loving. This is exactly how I remember them, her expression and Ivan ALWAYS smiling like that. Loved to be in their kitchen when she was cooking on that old wood stove.
