Obituary of Lester L. Tarbox
Port Allegany - Lester L. Tarbox, 66, of, Roulette died Saturday (September 10, 2011) at his home.
He was born Apr 30, 1945 in Coudersport, a son of Herman and Katherine Hults Tarbox, On Sept. 4, 1965in St. Mary's Church Sartwell; he married Jacqueline M. Kazimer, who survives.
Mr. Tarbox was a 1963 graduate of Port Allegany High School and was a1964 graduate of Roberts Barber School in Buffalo, NY.
Mr. Tarbox owned and operated Lester's Barber Shop in Coudersport. He was a barber for 46 years
He was a member of St. Mary's Church Sartwell and the Knights of Columbus #1355 of Coudersport, 3rd Degree
He Coached Baseball for the Roulette Baseball Association and was Assistant Boy Scout Master for Port Allegany #560 and was Cub Master for Roulette #529
Mr. Tarbox was a member of the Port Allegany School Board for two terms.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by
Two sons: Stephen (Marie) F. Tarbox of Smethport, PA and Dr. Michael J. Tarbox of Smethport, PA
One sister: Rebecca Mingo of Port Allegany, PA
Two brothers: James (Beverly) C. Tarbox of Kane, PA and Jerry (Gail) W. Tarbox of Cyclone, PA, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Adelbert Tarbox and one sister Beverly Braunroth.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 in the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc 105 N Main St. Port Allegany. The Rosary will be recited at 3:30PM on Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, September 14, 2011 in St. Mary's Church Sartwell with the Rev. Thomas Brown, Pastor as celebrant. Burial will be in the St Gabriel's Cemetery, Port Allegany.
Memorials may be made to the McKean County SPCA, 80 Glenwood Ave. Bradford, PA 16701 or the Potter County Hospice 1001 E Second S., Coudersport, PA 16915. Online condolence may be made at www.hartle-tarboxfuneralhomes.com
