Word was received here yesterday of the sudden death of Mrs. E. W. Robinson which occurred at the home of her son, Gilbert, at Dayton, Ohio, yesterday morning.
Mrs. B. P. Timpano has received word of the recent marriage of her youngest sister, Donna, to Larry Moran and Mr. and Mrs. Moran are now on a wedding trip through the west. They will make their home in Los Angeles.
Dr. Frederick D. Elliott of Reading, Pa., is the guest of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Elliott.
The County Council of Defense held a meeting Monday in the court house at which time Colonel Ralph M. Mitchell, director of the State Council of Defense was present. Colonel Mitchell suggested that a practice blackout be conducted in Potter County and in all probability this will take place within a very short time. First aid stations have been established in all parts of the county and emergency ambulance service organized.
Ulysses Vocational School enjoyed a recess Wednesday, April 15, in order that all might enjoy the first day of fishing.

The first report of the season of the work of outlaw bears comes from West Branch Township near Corbett. There Mrs. Anna Seeley's flock was visited by a bear and one sheep was killed.
Miss Vern Lucile Hughes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.. Gomer Hughes, and William Swanson, both of Coudersport were united In marriage Saturday, April 3, at Wellsville, N. Y., by Rev. A. M. Diettrich. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mitchell were their attendants.
The chemical plant at Conevllle has fixed up and will be ready to start operating soon.
Only one admittance at the Coudersport Hospital during the past week, which was Agnes Lawton of Coudersport, who was admitted for treatment of injuries, April 12, and dismissed April 14.
Mr. and Mrs. A. N. Crandall and the formers sister, Mrs. Sue MacDonald plan to leave Florida on their return trip north.
The McKean County court house of Smethport is to be enlarged to needed space. The addition will cost from $50,000 to $75,000.
Enthusiastic trout fishermen are happy today. The season for taking brook trout opened early this morning and the usual army of fisher men are out in force. The waters are not too high and conditions are fairly favorable.

Judge David Cameron of Wells-boro died Friday morning In the Williamsport Hospital where he had been a patient for about six weeks.
Fishermen who braved the wintery conditions Friday morning were many. The temperature was half way down the scale from freezing to zero and at times the air was full of snow. Some fishermen just a few were successful in capturing the legal limit of 25, but there were some who only caught a dozen or five or none at all.
Mr. and Mrs. Milo Freeman of Sweden announce the arrival of a son, born Monday. The child has been named Milton Stanley.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Moshier of Roulette announce the arrival of a daughter, born April 6. She has been named Jane Marie.
Guy Fredrick Chapman, 54, widely known Genesee merchant, died In Wellsville, Sunday morning, April 10. He had been in poor health for some time.
Friends of David Yardley gathered at his home Friday evening to help him observe his birthday anniversary. It was a complete surprise.
Mr. and Mrs. M. S. Harvey, Mr. and Mrs. John F. Stone and daughter, Miss Marion, Mrs. A. F. Smith and her sister, Mrs. Alice Pearsall are enjoying a few days outing and fishing at Hawthorne Lodge in Brookland.

Miss Linda Dawn Polmateer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Polmateer of Windy Hill Road, Schuylerville and Steven Milton Freeman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton S. Freeman of Couldersport, Pa., were united in marriage Jan. 18 at the Schuylerville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Hugh Templeton officiating.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a long white velvet and crepe gowp with Victorian styling, accented by white lace and train. Her fingertip veil fell from a rhinestone headpiece. She carried white roses and babies' breath on a white Bible.
Miss Nellie Beth Polmateer was her sister's maid of honor. She wore a blue crepe gown similar in style to that of the bride. Lisa Polmateer, sister of the bride, and Brenda Holmes, a cousin of the bride, were bridesmaids.
Mark Lightner was best man and other attendants to the bridegroom were Roger Ruggles and Bruce Butler. Howard Polmateer Jr., brother of the bride, and Jeff Freeman, brother of the bridegroom, were ushers. The bride is a 1973 graduate of Schuylerville Central School and BOCES school of cosmetology. She is employed at Stevens and Thompson, Middle Falls.
Her husband is a 1971 graduate of London Central High School, London, England. He is a sergeant with the Air Force stationed at Ketchums Corners Air Base.
Following a wedding trip to Montreal, the couple is residing in Schuylerville..

April 18, 1932 ~ October 17, 2021 (age 89)
Milton S. Freeman, 89, of Coudersport, died Sunday, October 17, 2021.
Milton was born on April 18, 1932, in Sweden Twp, the son of the late Milo S. and Martha (Snyder) Freeman. On October 12, 2002 he married the former Joanne Gillon at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Coudersport and they have celebrated 19 years of marriage.
Milton graduated from the one room school house in Sweden Valley. He is a retired Master Sergeant of the Air Force retiring in 1971 after 20 years of service, serving during the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
Milton was a member of the Park United Methodist Church, Coudersport, the Eulalia Masonic Lodge #342, the American Legion, Potter Post #192 and enjoyed woodworking, hunting, camping, working in the outdoors and spending time with family.
In addition to his wife, Joanne, Milton is survived by children, Deborah (Robert) Hults of Millerstown; Steven (Linda) Freeman, retired Master Sergeant Air Force, of Coudersport; Linda Brown (Colonel Victor Brown, Air Force) of Coudersport; Jeffrey (Mary) Freeman, Retired Sergeant First Class Army, of Coudersport; Lorraine (William) Brown of Milan; Mark (Mary Jo) Freeman of Coudersport; Emily Jo (Daniel) Skelton of Fisherville, IN; step children, Carol Predmore of TX; Bruce Predmore of CO; John (Thelma) Predmore of AZ; a sister-in-law, Alfreda Palmatier of Coudersport; 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and a great great grandson
In addition to his parents, Milton was preceded by his first wife, Betty Ann (Palmatier) Freeman on July 11, 1984, his second wife, Barbara (Butz) Freeman on March 28, 2000, sisters, Margaret Gross, Marie Greenwalt, Onley Easton, and Alberta Easton and a step daughter, Cindy Predmore Levier.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects Saturday October 23, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Thomas E. Fickinger Funeral Home, 210 North East Street, Coudersport. Milton’s funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. John L. Kallerson, officiating. Burial will follow in the Sweden Hill Cemetery.
